Cracked boards, water stains, pet damage, squeaks — we replace individual planks and blend them seamlessly so the repair disappears into the floor.
Gym floors, restaurants, office lobbies — refinished efficiently on your schedule to minimize business disruption. Fast-cure finishes available.
Most flooring companies do carpet, tile, vinyl, and hardwood as an afterthought. We do hardwood exclusively — which means deeper expertise, better results, and a crew that's seen every floor situation Spokane can throw at us.
Spokane's climate swings from dry summer heat to cold, snowy winters. Those seasonal humidity changes make hardwood expand and contract constantly. We spec finishes and installation patterns that account for that movement — so your floor doesn't buckle, cup, or gap season after season.

HEPA-filtered drum sander removes old finish and surface damage down to clean wood. Edge sanding and detail work follow.
Stain is applied and dried, then multiple finish coats are laid with light screening between coats for a glass-smooth result.
We walk the job with you before we pack up. You approve it — or we fix it. We don't leave until you're satisfied.
"Our 1960s oak floors were completely beat up — deep scratches, old poly peeling in patches. The crew brought them back better than we've ever seen them. Dustless process meant zero cleanup on our end. Absolutely worth every penny."
"Got quotes from three companies. Selkirk was the only one who actually walked room-to-room and explained what they'd do. Two days later, floors looked like a magazine photo. Can't recommend them enough."
"Water damage from a dishwasher leak destroyed three boards in our kitchen. They matched the stain perfectly — I seriously cannot tell which boards are new. That level of detail work is rare."

Most refinish jobs take 2–3 days: one day for sanding, one for stain and first finish coat, one for final coats and dry time. Larger homes or jobs needing repair work may take 4–5 days. We give you a firm timeline at estimate so you can plan accordingly.
Not necessarily. Many customers stay home during sanding — our dustless system keeps the mess contained. During staining and finish application, finish fumes require ventilation, so we recommend limiting time in treated rooms for 24–48 hours. We'll tell you exactly what to expect before we start.
Solid hardwood (3/4" thick) can typically be refinished 7–10 times over its life. Engineered hardwood depends on the wear layer — usually 2–4 times. We measure your existing floor wear layer at estimate so you know where you stand before committing.
Spokane's dry winters drop indoor humidity significantly — wood shrinks and boards pull apart slightly, causing gaps and squeaks. This is normal seasonal movement, not a defect. We can address squeaks structurally, and installation jobs we do include proper gapping allowances to accommodate Spokane's climate swing.
Oil-based polyurethane adds a warm amber tone and is very durable — popular for traditional wood looks. Water-based finish dries clear, preserving the natural wood color, and dries faster (back on floors in 24 hrs vs. 48+). Both are excellent — the right choice depends on your wood species and the look you want. We'll walk you through both at estimate.
Yes — we move standard furniture as part of the job and return it when the floors are cured. Large items like pianos, pool tables, or built-ins may require separate arrangements. Let us know at estimate and we'll plan accordingly.
